This is just the latest example of a sleazy company using the lure of a free offer to get your credit card number. They want to bill you for something you didn't order. These guys took in several million dollars before the FTC shut them down.

It’s like bait-and-switch on the car loan. You sign all the paperwork, drive the car home and days later the dealer says the financing fell through and you need to pay more or bring the car back.  
The Federal Trade Commission tries to stop dozens of companies that bombarded cell phone with millions of spam texts. The bogus messages promised “free” gift $1,000 gift cards at big name stores, like Walmart and Best Buy. SCAMBUSTERS

 He used “Free Trial Offers” to get people’s credit card numbers to bill them for products and services they did not want and did not agree to buy.

They knock on your door and want to sell you magazines, security systems, meat or miracle cleaning products. Beware: it could be a con artist at your doorstep who will say anything to get your money.
